Dr. Carlos A. Diaz

Dr. Carlos Diaz is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and specializes in the nonsurgical treatment of various spine and musculoskeletal problems. He welcomes adults and children over 12 to his practice at Spine, Sport & Physical Medicine Center in Sarasota, Florida. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach to patient care, Dr. Diaz designs treatment plans that meet the needs of the individual.

Every patient can expect a careful review of their medical history and symptoms as well as a detailed medical exam that helps Dr. Diaz create treatment strategies aimed at resolving pain and restoring healthy mobility. His areas of interest include back, shoulder, hip, neck pain caused by a work or sports injury, trauma during an accident, or the simple wear and tear of life.

Dr. Diaz received his medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico and completed his residency in San Antonio at the University of Texas Health and Science Center. During his training, he worked closely with physicians of multiple specialties, including orthopedic, neurology, and psychology, which gives him a broad scope of medical expertise that greatly benefits his patients.

He leads the team at Spine, Sport & Physical Medicine Center and has gathered a warm and welcoming staff that embraces his passion for treating his patients with respect and compassion, many of whom are fluent in both English and Spanish. Dr. Diaz is happy to provide his community with a fresh, patient-focused perspective regarding orthopedic care.

Dr. Steven Gaeta, D.C.

Dr. Steven Gaeta has been providing Chiropractic treatments for almost 30 years in Sarasota. Life started on Long Island, NY where Dr. Gaeta went to SUNY Stonybrook University before entering New York Chiropractic College.He graduated New York Chiropractic College in 1989, arrived in Sarasota February 1, 1990, and began his practice at the Chiropractic Orthopedic Center. After a few years he became the sole practitioner and the name changed to Gaeta Chiropractic Center on Bee Ridge Road.Dr. Gaeta attended specialized training programs at the University of Florida in MedX rehabilitation program. He has certification in rehabilitation utilizing the Cervical and Lumbar Med X machines.Dr. Gaeta also received specialized training in Disability and Impairment Evaluation, for rating injured patients following an automobile accident or work compensation injury. Dr. Gaeta has taught Impairment evaluation process locally for over the last 20 years.He treats many conditions such as traumatic injuries from automobile accidents, work injuries, sports injuries as well chronic degenerative conditions. He uses hands on chiropractic adjustments, passive physical therapies, spinal decompression and MedX spinal rehabilitation training and stabilization exercises.

Pablo Der Boghossian

Pablo Der Boghossian has been involved in sports his entire life. This passion has informed the direction of his career, driving him to not only become a professional soccer player, but also obtain a Physical Therapy degree from Del Salvador University in 1991 and a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and Physiatrics from Buenos Aires University in 1992. He has acquired over 30 years of clinical and management experience in orthopedics, neurological and sport physical therapy in Buenos Aires, Chicago and Sarasota.

During the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympic Games, Pablo served as a member of the rehabilitation team for Argentina’s athletes. He was involved in several soccer teams as part of their rehabilitation staff including the medical group for the US National Soccer team representing USA during the 1994 World Cup. Throughout the years, he joined several project teams of health care professionals with the purpose of developing centers for hight performance athletes. In 1998, Pablo founded Excell Rehab outpatient clinics, a successful PT practice with offices in Sarasota, Venice and Arcadia that he proudly owned and operated until 2014. Sensing the direction the industry was heading, Pablo turned his expertise towards physician-owned physical therapy clinics and has been helping physicians and patients alike by developing successful in-house PT clinics ever since, along with opening his own outstanding outpatient clinics.

Dr. Alejandra Leal

Dr. Alejandra Leal was born and raised in Puerto Rico and earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and brings a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to care. Dr. Leal has clinical experience in both private practice and hospital-based settings, where she worked alongside medical professionals to deliver integrative care. She treats a wide range of conditions including spinal disc issues, sports injuries, postural dysfunctions, soft tissue conditions, and general musculoskeletal complaints. Her focus is on providing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans designed to help patients restore function, reduce pain, and improve overall quality of life.
